Painted Ceramic Mugs etc

This fetish started out when my daughter Sierra made me the best mug for Christmas. We are Harry Potter fans and the mug was a replica of the mug of tea leaves that featured ‘the grim’ on the bottom. Sadly, a few weeks into using it, the picture started to come off. It turned out that the tutorial she saw on painted mugs said just to use a sharpie and then bake the mug afterwards. I went online to do research and found other tutorials stating that they had to be oil based sharpies. Since those are quite expensive and she couldn’t afford them… I decided to buy a few for myself and try them out.

Once I did… I was hooked. Should have seen that coming. It turns out that the oil based markers aren’t infallible either, but they will withstand more water than plain sharpies. Just do NOT put them in the dishwasher!
