Polymer Clay

This will probably be the page with the most on it. It’s my current obsession. If you went to the About page and followed the link to my YouTube Channel, there are some tutorials there for you to watch… and a few million other tutorials on the internet and on pinterest. I think polymer clay might be the most versatile medium for crafting EVER.

It definitely takes some practice. I have made things too thin and burned them or had them break, I’ve made them too thick and had a problem getting fittings and such through them. I have used the wrong glaze and made something that I was quite happy with perpetually sticky and therefore useless….but through it all it’s been FUN!!!

It’s like the playdough we had as kids, its fun to shape and squeeze and roll but it’s also more grown-up than that. When you discover caning, if you haven’t already, you will see what I mean.
